Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

Last Updated: August 27, 2026

Welcome to The Mahogany Table. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and establish general terms applicable to inquiries and services provided by The Mahogany Table.

By accessing this website, submitting an inquiry, or engaging The Mahogany Table for services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions where applicable.

1. Services

The Mahogany Table provides culinary services that may include private chef experiences, vacation dining, catering, intimate dinners, celebrations, special events, and other customized culinary experiences.

Services, menus, pricing, availability, staffing, and other details may vary depending on the individual event and client needs.

Information and sample menus displayed on this website are intended to showcase our style and capabilities and do not represent a guaranteed menu, price, or service package.

2. Inquiries Are Not Confirmed Bookings
Submitting an inquiry, completing a form, requesting a date, or communicating with The Mahogany Table does not reserve or guarantee your requested date or services.

An event is considered confirmed only after The Mahogany Table has accepted the booking and the client has completed all applicable booking requirements, which may include:

  • Approval of the final proposal or service details

  • Signing a service agreement or contract

  • Payment of the required retainer and/or deposit

  • Completion of any additional requirements communicated by The Mahogany Table

Dates remain subject to availability until the booking is formally confirmed.

3. Pricing & Proposals

Pricing is customized based on factors that may include the selected service, menu, number of guests, location, ingredients, staffing requirements, rentals, travel, preparation requirements, and other event-specific needs.

Website content, sample menus, or previously quoted prices do not guarantee pricing for future services.

A personalized proposal or quote may be provided after sufficient event information has been received.

Additional requests or changes made after a proposal has been accepted may result in additional charges.

4. Retainers & Payments

A retainer or deposit may be required to reserve an event date.

The amount, payment schedule, due dates, and refundability of payments will be stated in the client’s proposal, invoice, or service agreement.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, an event date is not secured until the required booking payment and any required agreement have been received.

Failure to make required payments by the stated deadlines may result in cancellation or release of the requested date.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms may vary depending on the type, size, location, and requirements of an event.

The cancellation policy contained in the client’s signed service agreement, proposal, or invoice will govern that particular booking.

Because The Mahogany Table may reserve dates, decline other business, purchase ingredients, arrange travel, secure staff, or incur other expenses in preparation for an event, certain retainers, deposits, purchases, or expenses may be non-refundable as specified in the client’s agreement.

6. Changes to an Event

Clients should communicate requested changes as soon as possible.

Changes may include, but are not limited to:

  • Guest count

  • Menu selections

  • Event date or time

  • Service location

  • Dietary requirements

  • Service style

  • Additional meals or service dates

  • Rentals, equipment, or staffing needs

Changes are subject to availability and approval by The Mahogany Table and may result in additional fees.

Significant last-minute changes may not be accommodated.

7. Guest Counts

Clients are responsible for providing an accurate guest count by the deadline established for their event.

After the final guest count has been confirmed, reductions in attendance may not result in a reduction of the contracted price.

Increases in guest count are subject to availability and may require additional charges.

8. Food Allergies & Dietary Requirements

The safety and comfort of our guests are important to us.

Clients are responsible for informing The Mahogany Table of known food allergies, sensitivities, intolerances, or dietary restrictions for themselves and their guests before the applicable event deadline.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed dietary needs when agreed upon in advance.

However, food may be prepared in environments where common allergens are present. Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, The Mahogany Table cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment or eliminate all possibility of cross-contact.

Guests with severe or life-threatening allergies should communicate those concerns before booking so we can determine whether the requested service can be safely accommodated.

9. Client-Provided Locations

For services performed in a client’s home, vacation rental, Airbnb, event venue, or other third-party location, the client is responsible for ensuring that The Mahogany Table is permitted to provide the requested services at that location.

The client is also responsible for providing accurate information about the available kitchen, appliances, utilities, workspace, parking, building access, venue restrictions, and other conditions that may affect service.

Additional costs resulting from undisclosed limitations or requirements may be charged to the client when appropriate.

10. Travel & Destination Services

Services requiring travel may include additional charges for transportation, lodging, baggage, ingredient transportation, local transportation, parking, tolls, equipment, or other travel-related expenses.

Applicable travel or destination fees will be communicated as part of the client’s quote, proposal, or service agreement.

Changes to the event that create additional travel expenses may result in additional charges.

11. Delays & Circumstances Beyond Our Control

The Mahogany Table will make reasonable efforts to provide services as agreed.

However, certain circumstances may occur outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transportation disruptions, utility failures, venue restrictions, emergencies, government actions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events.

When such circumstances materially affect an event, The Mahogany Table and the client will work in good faith to determine an appropriate solution when reasonably possible.

12. Food Handling & Leftovers

When applicable, prepared food may be left with the client following service.

Once food has been delivered, transferred to the client, or left in the client’s possession, the client assumes responsibility for proper storage, refrigeration, reheating, and handling.

The Mahogany Table is not responsible for food quality or safety issues resulting from improper storage, handling, transportation, or consumption after food has been transferred to the client’s control.

13. Website Content

Photographs, menus, descriptions, branding, written content, graphics, logos, and other original materials appearing on this website are owned by or licensed to The Mahogany Table unless otherwise stated.

Website materials may not be reproduced, copied, republished, or used for commercial purposes without permission.

14. Photos & Client Privacy

The Mahogany Table may photograph its own food, tablescapes, or culinary work for portfolio, website, or marketing purposes where appropriate.

We respect our clients’ privacy. Personally identifying photographs of clients or guests will not be intentionally used for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

Any additional photography or media terms applicable to a particular event may be addressed in the client’s service agreement.

15. Third-Party Services

Our website may contain links to or integrations with third-party platforms used for payments, communications, website functionality, social media, or other services.

The Mahogany Table is not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or operation of third-party websites or services.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Mahogany Table will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to waive or limit rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived or limited.

17. Individual Service Agreements

Specific bookings may be governed by a separate proposal, invoice, service agreement, or contract.

If a provision of a signed service agreement for a particular event conflicts with these general website Terms & Conditions, the applicable signed service agreement will control with respect to that event.

18. Changes to These Terms

The Mahogany Table may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes in our services, policies, or business practices.

Updated Terms & Conditions will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
